Flu Vaccinations

It’s flu season, and the best way to prevent the flu bug from making its way into your home is to get your annual flu vaccine. Getting your flu shot doesn’t only protect you, it also helps to avoid the spread of the virus to your coworkers, extended family, and your friends.
Who needs the flu shot?
The CDC recommends that anyone over 6 months of age get the flu shot annually. It is especially important that high risk individuals, and their frequent visitors, get their flu vaccine. Those who are considered high risk include:
- Pregnant women
- Children under 5
- Adults 50 or older
- Anyone with a chronic medical condition such as diabetes or asthma
- Nursing home or long-term care facility residents
- Health care workers
