Pediatrics

At Faith Regional, you can expect our pediatric physicians and staff to deliver comprehensive care to all children and adolescents to help your child grow happy and healthy.

What is a Pediatrician?

While primary care providers can treat patients of all ages, pediatricians specialize and offer a more in-depth knowledge in the physical, emotional, and social development of children from birth through adolescence. You’ll benefit from trained providers experienced in caring just for kids. Your child’s pediatric provider can treat conditions and offer information on:

  • Allergies
  • Asthma
  • Cough, cold, and flu
  • Developmental and learning disabilities
  • Diabetes
  • Ear infections
  • Minor injuries and infections
  • Preventative care
  • Well-child visits
  • Immunizations to help protect your child from serious diseases
  • Offer advice on keeping your kids healthy and common parenting issues, such as discipline and toilet training
  • Refer your child to a specialist if needed

Well-Child Checks

Regular well-child checks can help protect your child’s health. During these visits, you can:

  • See how much your child has grown
  • Discuss and receive preventative care, including vaccines
  • Talk about your child’s skills and behaviors
  • Ask any questions or share your concerns

If Your Child Needs Hospitalized

For most acute illnesses, your child can be treated by our providers in our outpatient clinic. If your child needs to be admitted to the hospital, you’ll find expert care in our pediatric unit. Some benefits our pediatric unit offers include:

  • Certified Nursing Team: Our nurses are Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified and will closely monitor your child’s vital signs.
  • Safety and Security: For your child’s safety and security, our pediatric unit is a locked unit. All visitors are required to check-in prior to visiting.
  • Your Comfort: Every room features a couch that converts into a bed for extra comfort while you stay with your child. Please ask your nurse for extra linens and toiletries you may need.
  • Seamless Care: Your child will receive care from the same pediatric provider they see in our outpatient clinic, ensuring a smooth transition in your child’s care.
