Symptoms of Kidney Disease
Early kidney disease is known to be silent. However, your primary care provider can suspect kidney disease based on blood test results. If you have the following symptoms, you may have advanced kidney disease:
- Blood in the Urine
- Fatigue
- Foamy Urine
- Frequent Headaches
- High Blood Pressure
- Itchiness all over the Body
- Loss of Appetite
- Muscle Cramps or Pain in the Lower Back (Not aggravated by movement)
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Puffiness Around the Eyes or Swelling of Hands and Feet
- Skin May Darken
You may be referred to a nephrologist if you experience any of the symptoms listed above or if you receive the following diagnosis:
- Protein or blood in your urine
- Severe high blood pressure
Other conditions, such as diabetes, can also lead to chronic kidney disease.
